Privacy Policy

In short: Scripture Loop has no accounts, no ads, and no tracking. Your plans, notes, highlights, progress, and settings stay on your own device. We don’t collect, sell, or share your personal information.
This policy covers the Scripture Loop website (scriptureloop.app) and the Scripture Loop app for iPhone. It explains what happens to information when you use them.
What stays on your device
Everything you create or choose in Scripture Loop is saved only on your device: your passages, plans, notes, highlights, loop history and streaks, and settings. On the website it’s saved in your browser’s storage; in the app, in the app’s storage on your iPhone. It isn’t sent to us, and we have no copy of it.
The website also saves the passage you last opened in a cookie, so the Loop page can open straight to it. That cookie is only used to show you that passage. The app’s home screen and lock screen widgets read a copy of your passage and progress kept in a folder on your iPhone that only Scripture Loop and its widgets can use.
Because nothing is stored with us, deleting the app or clearing your browser’s data removes it. If you export a backup, that file is yours to keep wherever you choose.
Audio
Scripture Loop plays the Berean Standard Bible narration from OpenBible.com. As with any website, OpenBible.com’s servers receive your device’s IP address and which chapter’s recording is requested, so they can send it. Verses without a recording are read aloud by your device’s own voice, on your device.
Purchases in the iPhone app
Looping in the app is free for a week, then unlocked with a one-time purchase; tips are optional. All payments are handled by Apple through the App Store. We never see your name, Apple ID, or payment details.
To know whether looping is unlocked, the app uses RevenueCat, a service that keeps track of App Store purchases. RevenueCat receives a random identifier created for the app (not linked to your name or Apple ID), the purchases made with it and when, and basic device information such as the iOS version and country. It’s used to confirm purchases, restore them on a new phone, and give us overall sales numbers (never information about you).
Photos
When you make a lock screen image and choose to save it, the app asks for permission to add it to your Photos. Scripture Loop only saves images there; it doesn’t view or read your photo library.
Hosting
The website is hosted by Vercel. Like most web hosts, Vercel’s servers keep standard logs of requests (such as IP address, browser type, and the page requested) to run and protect the service. We don’t use these logs to identify or track you.
What we don’t do
- No accounts or sign-in.
- No advertising, and no advertising or analytics trackers.
- No selling or sharing of personal information.
- No collecting of personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, for example if optional sign-in and syncing between devices are added, we’ll update this page and the date above before the change takes effect.
